Huskies Drop Pair to Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN--The Bloomsburg University softball team, ranked 16th in Division II, dropped a pair of games to third-ranked Lock Haven on Saturday by scores of 7-0 and 2-1. The Huskies will enter next weekend's first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs as the number two seed from the central division and will play California (PA) against the number three seed from the eastern division.
In game one, the Huskies managed six, but left seven runners on base. Bloomsburg's Shen DeBaro (Milton/Milton) picked up two hits in the game to lead the Huskies.
In game two, the Huskies gave up single runs in the third and sixth innings to trail 2-0 heading to the seventh. In the seventh inning the Huskies loaded the bases, but could only manage an RBI single from Danielle Lazorka (Williamsport/Jersey Shore) in losing 2-1. Lazorka and Tara Reed (Williamsport/Williamsport) each had two hits in the game for Bloomsburg.
Bloomsburg finishes the regular season with a mark of 29-7, 13-3 in the PSAC Central.
